Takes 2 is an Athens-based production company creating animation, visual effects and motion graphics for commercials, branded content, product films and architectural visualisation.
We combine live action with stop motion, 2D and 3D animation, CGI, compositing and VFX, choosing the technique—or combination of techniques—that best serves each idea. That might mean building puppets and miniature sets for a stop-motion film, integrating photoreal architectural CGI into live-action footage, adding tracked graphics to aerial cinematography or creating a fully animated 3D product film.
From visual development, storyboards and animatics to model-making, studio shoots, animation, post-production, compositing and final delivery, we manage each project as one coherent production.
We also incorporate AI-assisted tools where they genuinely add creative or production value—from early visual development and previsualisation to selected animation and post-production workflows. Their use is shaped around each brief and agreed with the client, while creative direction, craft and final decisions remain firmly in human hands.
Projects produced or service-produced by Takes 2 have been recognised in Greece and internationally. Klinex — I Am Here, directed by Irida Zhonga and Effie Pappa and produced by Takes 2, received a Gold Ermis Production award for Special Techniques and a Bronze Ermis Production award for Advertising Film Production. Mailchimp’s All in a Day’s Work — Series 2, directed by Effie Pappa and service-produced in Athens by Takes 2, received a Silver Lovie and the People’s Lovie for Branded Entertainment — Animation.
Every brief calls for a different mix of talent. We bring together directors, animators, cinematographers, compositors, illustrators, motion designers and specialist artists from our trusted international network. Some work is created in our studio; for other projects, we assemble the right creative and production team around the idea—always managing the process as one team.
